Please Join the
Canada South Blues Society!
The Canada South Blues Society (CSBS) began in 2000 and currently has 375+ members. It has presented 175+
shows with 150+ artists at various venues such as Fogolar Furlan,
Ciociaro Club, Chrysler Theatre, Uncle Vito’s, Laing’s Orchard, Rookies,
Windsor Raceway, Caesars Windsor, and more.

Eric Sardinas and Larry McCray
In 2006, CSBS started Canada’s ONLY Blues Museum, with the goal
to have a consistent venue at which to stage our shows and for our
members to attend. To date 37 artists have been inducted into the
Museum, which boasts reserved seating for 160, in-house
stage/lighting/PA, unobstructed sight lines, museum quality autographed
artist photos and memorabilia, free popcorn and parking, and inexpensive
drinks. CSBS is the caretaker, Place Concorde is the host, but, but,
but, the Museum is owned by everyone in the community. This is
your Museum; help grow your Museum into a major tourist attraction
by simply coming to the shows and telling your friends.

Foundation’s Keeping The Blues Alive award for Historical Preservation
for 2011. In 30 years, the Blues Foundation in Memphis has bestowed the
Heritage Preservation Award to only 6 entities around the world. Your
Museum is the most recent honoree.

VIP Reserved Seating Tables for 4 – All
your Museum shows
sell out on a first come, first served basis. It is imperative that you
contact Louise or your salesperson quickly upon receiving our
e-newsletter announcing our shows to reserve your table(s) and not miss
out. Payment can be worked out when reserving your table. You may be
assigned a volunteer salesperson to contact any time about the shows, so
we can even out the workload amongst our volunteers. We know that things
happen, so if you need to cancel your reserved table, please give us as
much notice as possible. We always have a waiting list, but timing is
everything. Empty seats at a “Sold Out” show are not good for the
artist, Place Concorde, and those who wanted to attend but were told no.
Your cooperation on this is greatly appreciated by all concerned.

Our COOL Radio Sponsors!
Raffle: At every show our volunteers conduct a raffle featuring
framed, autographed artist pictures, DVDs, CDs, books, merchandise, etc.
The proceeds of the raffle support the ongoing improvements to your
Museum and underwrite inexpensive ticket pricing for members.
Members Draw: At every show, members only are asked to sign in at
the door to be eligible for our door prize draw.

Membership forms are available at all shows, so bring some
friends and sign them up!
Volunteering: We are always looking for new, committed volunteers
who are excited to lend their skills and talents to improving the
Society. If you find yourself in this category after attending a couple
of shows, speak to Louise and let her know what you have to offer. Even
if your commitment can only be once a year, at the Blues & Greens, or
Bluesin’ & Cruisin’, or Bluesfest, we’d like to hear from you.

Bluesfest Passports to the Blues (you receive one $50 Passport
each year as
part of your membership) are distributed at the Bluesin’ & Cruisin’
event each June in order to minimize mailing costs. Besides, it’s a
great event, held behind Place Concorde in the big tent, featuring 5+
artists, food, drinks, and the Bob Probert Ride for the Heart. Details
will be in the e-newsletter, so make sure we have your proper email
address. It’s a great time to introduce new people to what your Blues
Society is all about. We encourage all members to attend, bring a
friend, and help grow your Society and Canada’s Only Blues
Museum.
